Transfer Fun

Dear Family,
Thanks for the emails and the updates about you. It´s always nice to hear about what you are learning and what things are happening and I love getting pictures. I have recently had a lot of problems with the memory card on my camera and it now has a virus or something so it doesn't show my pictures on the computer nor my camera. So, I´m going to see what I can do about fixing that or getting the pictures from somebody else.
This week was transfer week. I have a new companion, his name is Elder Applegate and we are basically the same person. We look similar and we are both quiet people. So, this is going to be a fun transfer. I introduced him to a family yesterday the Flia Rotondo (the best family ever that is now my adopted Argentine family) and the hermana said that he was my twin. I´m pretty excited about that.
We are still in the same area as always. My last comp Elder Cardwell went to Trelew on Monday at about 10 and then I was with the zone leaders in the terminal ´til about 10:30 at night. It was a long day. But, we did a lot of fun things. We went out to eat with the office Elders to a restaurant called the Vaca Loca, crazy cow. They sell super good Milanesa sandwiches for a really decent price. That was a good lunch. Then after lunch we played around with blow dart guns that we made out of PVC pipe and nerf darts. That was a lot of fun. Me and Elder Tingey got one Elder pinned in a room and we took turns shooting at him, it was a bit mean but it´s really fun. Then that night we had to sleep in the zone leaders pension because Elder Soto was going to the airport at nine and Elder Tingey was going to be with other Elders in the terminal at eight. But, that fell apart and I ended up in at 6:30 finding Elder Tingey and Elder Soto in the zone leaders pension sleeping in two different places. That was fun. Then we went to the terminal and picked up the elders that got here today and we ate breakfast and lunch with the Zone leaders. I am getting a lot better at making pancakes from scratch and they seem every time more similar to American pancakes.
As for the rest of the week there were a lot of sad goodbyes from Elder Cardwell and the members. An asado to say goodbye to Elder Soto and a lot of really good but bad for me food. I have eaten so much in the last couple of days and now my stomach feels bad. But, I am happy and I think things are going to be normal soon. Love you all tons and hope you have a great week!

Love,
Michael

Fishing

Dear Family,
Caleta Cordoba Walkway
This week has been fun for us. We are getting everything ready for the baptism that we are going to have on Saturday and that has been a bit of a struggle. Lots of fun problems. But things are all working out for us. And outside of that the only thing that really happened this week is that we went fishing today. That´s why I´m writing right now. A hermano took us to Caleta Cordoba, it´s a bit north of Comodoro city. There we went on a bridge over the ocean and fished as the tide came in. That was awesome. Between four Elders we took out 100+ fish. I caught about 24. This was also the first time that Elder Cardwell caught a fish too. It was a really fun time.

We all came away a bit burned though which was the bad thing. Really grateful for the sunscreen that kept it from being worse. And that´s about it for the week. We´re going to baptize our investigator on Saturday and I am excited for that. And not much else is new. Love you guys and hope you have a fun week!
Love,
Michael

Miracles Happen

Dear Family,

This week has been normal. We had a zone meeting on Friday and got splash awards. I got the award for the most patient and my companion got the award for the hardest worker. That was fun. We also learned that we are going to do more tsunamis (all of the district goes to one area to contact) and we are working hard for more baptisms. It´s gonna be a fun year.

The only other major thing that happened this week is that my investigator, Gaston moved out. He was living with his girlfriend and now he is going to be baptized. His date is for the 24th but we might push it to this Saturday depending on what he thinks. It´s going to be a crazy week. I am looking forward to it. Miracles happen and the work keeps moving forward. Love you all tons and I am always grateful for the emails and updates. Have a good week!

Love,
Michael

New Year Fun

Dear Family,

Thanks for the emails and everything. It was great to hear from you.

District on New years Eve 2014

Zone Pancakes
This week we had a fun New Years we ate at a family´s house and had a delicious lamb. We were there from about seven to eight trying to get the fire going so we could cook the lamb and then it took til about 9 maybe ten to cook all the way but it was delicious. I ate WAY too much lamb. But I loved every bite of it. We then were at their house til about 1 o clock in the morning and when the hermano took us home we went for about an hour long detour to drop the hermanas off first. Then I slept for about 5 hours and started the New Year. We spent the whole day with the zone. In the morning we made a hundred plus pancakes and eggs for breakfast. I spent two hours or so in the kitchen helping to cook. It was fun. And then we walked to a park that is right close to the chapel we were at and had a blast. We played american football and there were some crazy catches from some people. Then I listened to my comp play his guitar for a bit which was nice and we went back to the chapel to eat dinner. We cooked Sausages on a fire and almost caught a lot on fire. That was crazy and then we went for a drive around the port with the family that we spent New Years with. It was fun, we managed to get into the off limits part because the brother that was driving got a favor. It was cool. And after that we got home, planned and slept. That was my New Years celebration

And the rest of the week was a lot of time knocking doors and a lot of people not being home. Everybody is on trips for the month. It sucks. Also, we have an investigator that is going to move out of his house so that he can be baptized. It´s seriously a miracle. I am super excited. His name is Gaston and I think that he´s going to be baptized in the end of January. I am super excited. Hope you all have a great week and I love you all tons!

Love,
Michael
